Forty Six North provides advisory and capital raising services to alternative investment managers, including those in real estate, infrastructure, private equity and credit. As appropriate we endeavor to make investments alongside clients in their operating companies and/or underlying investments. Forty Six North also assists real estate clients in the purchase and sale of real estate assets through our affiliated real estate brokerage company, Forty Six North Real Estate.
Bracken White co-founded Forty Six North Advisors in 2018. Most recently, Bracken was Managing Director and Head of Europe for Probitas Partners, where he established the Firm’s London office and managed Europe and Middle East distribution. At Probitas, Bracken also oversaw relationships with several key sovereign investors.
Prior to joining Probitas, Bracken was the Chief Investment Officer of Makan Capital Group, a family investment office in UAE. There he built a team to source and review global alternative investment opportunities. Prior, Bracken was a Managing Director of Molinaro Koger, the largest independent hotel investment sales firm. At Molinaro Koger, he established the Firm’s institutional equity capital markets practice. Bracken was also a Principal at Presidio Merchant Partners, covering the real estate industry and raising institutional equity commitments. Previously, he was an investment banker at Banc of America Securities, where he executed M&A and capital raise transactions in real estate.
Bracken has an MBA from the Yale School of Management and earned his BA in International Relations from Lewis and Clark College. He is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charterholder.
Laurence Pelosi co-founded Forty Six North in 2018. Laurence also serves as a Principal in the real estate investment management firm Restore Utah, a joint venture with Goldman Sachs Urban Investment Group which manages $150MM of assets along the Wasatch Front.
Previously, Laurence served in senior roles in investment banking and real estate, including as a Principal with McKinley Realty Partners and Thompson Dorfman Partners (now Trammel Crow Residential, Northern California), Director with RBC Capital Markets, Executive Director with Morgan Stanley Real Estate and Director of Acquisitions with Lennar Corporation.
Laurence began his career as a real estate and land use attorney. He received his undergraduate degree from U.C. Berkeley and J.D. from Georgetown. Laurence is a licensed attorney and real estate broker in the State of California and has his Series 63, 79 and 82 licenses.
Richard “Rick” Arney - Rick serves as the Chair of Forty Six North Advisor's Board.
Rick has a long history of advising, launching, and overseeing investment funds. Rick served as Head of the Hedge Fund Group and Global Head of Alternatives Distribution at BlackRock. In this capacity he led a global team to distribute BlackRock alternative products including hedge funds, hedge fund-of-funds, private equity and real estate. Rick has substantial experience in governance matters and previously served on the Corporate Governance and Responsible Investment Committee of BlackRock. Rick currently serves as the Independent Chairman of the Lending Club Fund Governance Board where he provides fiduciary, compliance, and risk oversight for a variety of investment funds.
Rick has BA in Economics from Stanford (Honors) and an MBA from Harvard. He also was a Fulbright Scholar Advisor's board.
Arden Hearing is a Partner at Forty Six North Advisors, focused on the firm's real estate activities. Arden has overseen over $2 Billion in property investment and development execution.
Most recently, Arden was responsible for spearheading the creation and execution of Trumark Urban; one of California’s preeminent urban developers. As the Managing Director of Trumark Urban, Arden led over $1 Billion of property investment and construction along with over $500 million of property and condominium sales.
Arden is an alumnus of Harvard University Graduate School of Design and University of Washington Foster School of Business. He is an active volunteer lending his expertise to numerous non-profits including: Urban Land Institute, United Playaz, Lower Polk Community Benefit District, San Francisco Mayor’s Housing Working Group (San Francisco, 2014), SPUR and Habitat for Humanity.
